She plays Outfield and pitches for the Staten Island Ferryhawks of the Atlantic League of professional Baseball. Whitmore was the first woman to appear in the starting lineup in an Atlantic League game. Her debut in the Atlantic League was a pinch runner on April 22, 2022 and became the first woman to start an Atlantic League game on May 1, playing as a left fielder. On May 4, she became the first woman to pitch in an Atlantic League game. On September 03, 2022 She became the first woman to record a hit in association with Major League Baseball.
