PICTURE STORIES: FACES OF BOXING

Every Boxer has a story written on their faces. Scars, bumps, crooked noses; permanently swollen eyes are stories of their fights and their pain that they have gone through worn on each fighters face. As you go through these images you can see the progression of a fighter's life from the time they are a child through the amateur ranks, young pro, champion, retired, and long retired. There is no sport that you are never more alone than in that ring willing to risk your life for the glory, the money, the pain. They are a rare breed of athlete. Brave, Honest, Real. I spent 6 months traveling to gyms, homes and Boxing shrines to photograph my heroes in the sporting world. They did not disappoint.
